West's Global Technology Services department is currently seeking a Database Engineer.

Day to day responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Oracle and Postgres Database administration
• Event-Driven SOA Patterns
• Data Model - Object/Document Style versus historical 3NF
• Restful API Design
• Geo-Distributed Applications & Data
• Common Programing and Data Languages (Java, SQL)
• Estimating Data IO, IOPS, storage needs
• Monitor & Alerting Best Practices
• Building CI/CD pipelines
• Other duties as assigned

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS or related field required however, equivalent work experience in a similar position may be substituted for educational requirements

• 3 - 5 years of experience with relational databases (Oracle and Postgres) required
• Deep Understanding Kakfa & Mongo Eco-system
• Experience deploying solutions to the cloud, specifically Google
• Experince with Jenkins and Ansible for automation
