How You Will Contribute

Reporting to the Director, Productivity Engineering Tools (PET), you will work with a team of developer engineers to manage and develop our offerings and enable others to use them successfully.

  • Monitor the health of PET systems, tools, and services, participating in an on-call rotation to address issues that arise.
  • Process updates and changes to PET tools and services as needed.
  • Develop and maintain integrations and customizations for PET tools and services as needed.
  • Share knowledge on how to use PET tools, systems, and services through demos, trainings, or 1-on-1 meetings.

The Must Haves
  • 0-1 year of experience in software development and a propensity for quick learning.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python preferred) and comfort learning a new one quickly if needed.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs and how to use the programming languages you are comfortable with to interact with them.
  • Experience with version control systems like Git, and version control practices.
  • Familiarity with a unit testing framework in the language you are comfortable with.
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Analytical thinking with a growth mindset.
Assets
  • Familiarity with GitHub, Terraform, Datadog, LogicMonitor, BigPanda, JIra or Confluence is a plus.
