As the Senior Manager of Talent Acquisition, you will play a pivotal role in guiding, coaching, and overseeing a team of recruiters dedicated to identifying, assessing, and hiring exceptional talent. Your team's mission is to deliver an outstanding recruitment experience for both hiring managers and candidates, spanning from entry-level positions to executive roles. This multifaceted role demands a blend of strategic thinking and hands-on execution. Your impact as a Senior Manager extends beyond recruitment - it shapes the organization's future. As a Senior Manager of Talent Acquisition, your mission is to collaborate closely with operational and business leaders. Your goal is to align potential and available talent-both active and passive-with current and future employment opportunities within Smithfield. By infusing the company's culture with essential elements, you contribute to successful recruitment, placement, and talent retention. Your performance is measured against team development and performance, standardized processes and key performance indicators (KPIs).

As a forward-thinking leader, your mission is to elevate the talent acquisition function, ensuring it aligns seamlessly with the organization's vision and goals. Here's how you'll make an impact:

Partnership with Senior Leadership:

  • Cultivate strong partnerships with senior leaders, and align recruiting strategies with processes, policies, and tools to deliver top talent to meet the business's needs.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Ensure the talent acquisition function is adept, scalable and streamlined.

  • Enhancements to business process workflows, SOPs, recruiter templates, policies, and metrics / scorecards.

  • Base decisions on data, competitive intelligence, and market insights.

  • Utilize Workday Recruiting expertise for team support and talent analytics.

Candidate-Centric Approach:

  • Instill a consultant and customer-focused, partnership model across the enterprise.

  • Ensure consistently outstanding experiences for candidates and hiring managers.

  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners and Hiring Managers to deliver a holistic talent strategy.

  • Spearhead the executive search process including - research, candidate development, offer negotiations and onboarding.

Employer Branding:

  • Lead employer branding initiatives, including the Smithfield Foods career site, sourcing channels, and marketing collateral.

Workforce Planning and Market Insights:

  • Project future skill and capability requirements based on external trends.

  • Collaborate with HR Partners including compensation, learning & development, HRIS, and HR Reporting to make data-driven decisions aligning with the business and organization's vision and goals.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Human Resources, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field and 8+ years of relevant experience in human resources or related, or equivalent combination of education and experience, required.

  • 2+ years of demonstrated experience in team management/development or project leadership is required.

  • Experience with server-based applicant tracking system (Workday preferred), and online sourcing tools (LinkedIn, indeed, etc.), required.

  • Knowledge of Federal, State, and employment regulations and policies, required.

  • Proficient in Word, PowerPoint and Excel

  • Strong initiative and solid judgment.

  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to build relationships both within and outside the organization.

  • Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment.

  • Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.

  • Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time.

Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Provides leadership and guidance to Sourcing Specialists and Talent Acquisition Specialists.

  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and assisting in providing appropriate resolutions.
