We're actively seeking a talented Head of National Markets to join our Institutional Retirement Solutions Group in Omaha, NE or Newport Beach, CA to work remotely or in the office. As the Head of National Markets, you'll play a key role in Pacific Life's growth and long-term success by leading and developing a team, enabling a client-centric sales culture, and establishing industry relationships across advisors, advisor groups and consultants. This executive will have Defined Contribution experience across sales and service. This role will report directly to the Head of Institutional Retirement Solutions Group.


How you'll help move us forward:

  • Demonstrate the ability to develop lasting relationships with key customers
  • Enhance Pacific Life's presence in the advisor and consultant space to ultimately drive adoption of our solutions by plan sponsors
  • Partner closely with the Heads of the Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution to formulate and execute the go-to-market strategies for intermediaries and plan sponsors
    • Drive strategies that are solutions based using a consultative approach
    • Power to anticipate and adapt to changing market dynamics while balancing priorities of Pacific Life
  • Leverage extensive experience using data and insights to build an integrated channel strategy with defined segmentation
  • Apply skill in Channel Management, including ability to build a strategic territory plan, tailored to segmentation, and forecast resourcing to support prioritized channels
  • Bring a proven track record of attracting, developing and retaining talent and building strong teams
  • Capable of leading and developing sales training
  • Mastery of Salesforce and metrics tracking
  • Strong verbal and written skills and excellent follow through with prospective customers
  • Formulate strategy while building external relationships and manage execution to that strategy through effective pipeline management and meeting/exceeding targets


The experience you bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field
  • Demonstrated 15+ years of experience in sales and relationship management
  • Strong defined contribution knowledge
  • Extensive knowledge and prior experience in the financial services industry
  • Bias towards collaboration and a demonstrated ability to think creatively
  • Exhibited diplomacy, persuasiveness, creativity, judgment and decisiveness
  • Superior problem solving and program management skills

Base Pay Range:

The base pay range noted represents the company's good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.

$259,470.00 - $317,130.00
