Salary Range: $90k- $100k

TheChief Engineer will be tasked with the following duties, responsibilities, and assignments:

  • Leading and developing a diverse and effective teamthat is qualified and capable of leading theengineering functions of theproperties;

  • Maintaining an adequate inventory of parts andsupplies;

  • Troubleshooting and repairing malfunctions in mechanical and electrical systems and other equipment throughout thehotel;

  • Managing and collaborating in the development of the engineering andcapital budget,which at times involvesstrategic agility and sound planningcapability;

  • Leading, developing and training the hotel engineering teamin accordance with Atrium CoreValues;

  • Creating work schedules, managing and measuring departmentproductivity;

  • Overseeing preventative maintenance assignmentsand the execution of Capital projects in partnership with the Atrium Capitalteam;

  • Maintaining Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), Lock Out/Tag Out proceduresand all relevant Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)standards;

  • Tracking guest room requests for servicing and ensuringcompletion;

  • Being the head of the loss prevention and risk management programs. Managing the hotelsloss prevention committees and ensuring all life safety systems are code compliant with the brand and the authority having jurisdiction (i.e. Fire Marshall, Building Inspector, etc.); and

  • Any and allother work as required to complete the primary purpose of the position

Qualifications:

Required Prior Experience:

7+ years ofprogressiveengineering experience

Working knowledge of facilities regulations and safety standards(i.e.OSHA, EPA, ADA, CFC, NFPA)

Prior responsibility for a department budget with a fundamental understanding of a P&L statement, labor costs and other R&M expenses

Experience in managing utilities and energy systems

Understanding of capital planning and replacement cycles

Preferred Prior Experience:

Experience maintaining withcommerciallaundry and kitchen equipment.

Prior multi-site responsibility

Prior hotel experience

Required Education:

Prior knowledge of and experience in mechanical, electrical, HVAC,plumbingand general building construction

Preferred Licenses/ Certification:

Certifications in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC

Required Technology:

Knowledge of computer equipment, basictelephonyand IT background.

Ability to use web-based applications for ordering, scheduling, CMMS systems experience.

Required Travel:

Between properties within area
