Revenue Cycle Systems Manager - 901 (Remote)

Full Time; AM 8:30 am - 5:00 pm; Monday - Friday

Expected starting wage range is $93,823.86 - $115,905.40. Telecare applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges. The pay range assigned to this role will be based on the geographic location from which the role is performed. Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Revenue Cycle Systems Manager is responsible for managing the Revenue Cycle System Analysts, including work assignments, training, and quality assurance in Revenue Cycle systems. This position will manage all Revenue Cycle projects, including Startups, Upgrades, Corporate and BHIS projects; assigning tasks, ensuring timelines are met, and auditing results to ensure quality. This role manages the team, conducting One on Ones weekly, documentation and time tracking.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or ten (10) years of experience with Revenue Cycle systems, preferably in a multi-facility environment

  • Two (2) years' experience supervising a team

  • Adept with EHR and Revenue Cycle systems and experience with system design, documentation, training and implementation.

  • Proven ability to develop, document and maintain internal control systems in conjunction with BHIS system

  • Proven ability to lead teams and manage others.

  • Detailed knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid billing and collections, preferably in a psychiatric hospital or other mental health environment

  • Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills; including the ability to understand complex reimbursement contracts and translate into computer language/set up

  • Proven ability to successfully lead a project team, consisting of Telecare and non-Telecare staff, on company initiatives.

  • Superior knowledge/experience in full revenue cycle, from admissions to collections

  • Excellent computer literacy and demonstrated capacity to work with sophisticated automated billing systems

  • A valid state driver's license and proof of insurance is required. Applicant must be fingerprinted and receive clearance from the Department of Justice and The Office of Inspector General

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • All opportunities at Telecare are contingent upon successful completion and receipt of acceptable results of the applicable post-offer physical examination, 2-step PPD test for tuberculosis, acceptable criminal background clearances, excluded party sanctions, and degree or license verification. If the position requires driving, valid driver license, a motor vehicle clearance and proof of auto insurance is required at time of employment and must be maintained throughout employment. Additional regulatory, contractual or local requirements may apply

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Demonstrate the Telecare mission, purpose, values and beliefs in everyday language and contact with the internal and external stakeholders

  • Manages Revenue Cycle projects and team members, ensuring tasks are assigned and completed accurately

  • Manages Start up programs, ensuring Avatar set up is complete and program staff receive training

  • Perform quality assurance audits on data being changed in Revenue Cycle systems

  • Collaborates with Revenue Cycle Systems Director in strategic planning and development of the clinical activities within BHIS with the goal of ensuring ongoing effective billing and collection of revenues.

  • Responsible for the BHIS roll out/implementation decisions on behalf of the Revenue Cycle Department, in coordination with the Revenue Cycle Systems Director

  • Recruit, hire, train and mentor department staff who have the potential to grow into future leaders

  • Establishes clear performance objectives, clearly communicates objectives to staff and consistently monitors performance against objectives to accurately and fairly evaluate employee effectiveness

  • Leads multi-disciplined project teams as necessary

  • Completes and follows through with tasks and assignments, meeting expected deadlines

  • Works closely with Director and VP, Revenue Cycle on BHIS roll out/implementation planning process

  • Responsible for tracking escalated Revenue Cycle System issues; escalating to Director as needed

  • Consistently updates knowledge of regulations, procedures and standards to assure compliance with contractual obligations and directives from governmental and regulatory agencies, fiscal intermediaries and contracting counties

  • As a leader on the BHIS team, guides and controls the system changes, implementation schedule and provides expert feedback/recommendations to support the entire enterprise.

  • Resolves issues requiring high level decision making and material financial impact

  • Demonstrates an understanding of Telecare's customers including clients/residents, families and governmental agencies in all interactions and conduct

  • Accountable for meeting customer needs and adapting to changing customer needs at all times

  • Forward facing Revenue Cycle systems expert with outside customers and well as internal staff. Engages in professional and meaningful ways

  • Provides education and technical support to all levels of program and regional staff, regarding billing/collection functions performed at the program

  • Assumes responsibility for his/her professional growth

  • Mentors subordinates to maximum their professional growth and the growth of the unit

    SKILLS

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills including the ability to understand complex reimbursement contracts and translate into computer language/set up

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    The physical demands here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

    The employee is constantly required to sit and occasionally required to stand, walk, reach, twist, bend and lift and carry items weighing 10 pounds or less as well as to do simple grasping. The position requires manual deviation, repetition and dexterity and to occasionally drive. Visual requirements include computers and books exposure.
