The HRA Coordinator is responsible for the daily functions of the HRA program and harvest line up. Focus will be placed on full knowledge of the HRA program, receiving process, harvest needs, humane handling, staffing and daily operations. Work schedule will be influenced by the needs of all shifts.

Responsibilities

  • 50% - Maintain use of HRA application and line up of daily harvest

  • 20% - Work with department staff to ensure accurate counts, identification, and weight

  • 10% - Oversee Ante Mortem Inspection process with USDA to ensure harvest needs

  • 10% - Identify deficiencies and issues as they relate to lots received and ensure timely resolution.

  • 5% - Identify, train, and coach employees on general use of the HRA application

  • 5% - Other management functions of the department based on day-to-day business needs

Job Tasks:

  • Oversee and manage the daily harvest line up through the HRA application and Receiving process

  • Work with employees to ensure accuracy and department expectations

  • Support the Supervisor and take a lead role with the Receiver team

  • Delegate work and provide conflict resolution as directed by the supervisor or manager.

  • Oversee Ante Mortem Inspection process with USDA to ensure harvest needs

  • Identify and correct deficiencies in a timely manner and prior to USDA involvement.

  • Train back up employees for key HRA functions

  • Ensure employee safety and humane handling guidelines are met

  • Ensure adequate manning is in place across all shifts to meet department needs

  • Communicate clearly among team members and management team

  • Any other task deemed necessary to ensure the success of the department

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • High School diploma or general education degree (GED), required.

  • 2+ years computer, data entry or related experience, required.

  • A desire and willingness to work around and with livestock

  • Excellent communication and people skills both written and verbal

  • Strong Math skills. - Maintain active TQA and PQA certification

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to make independent decisions

  • Train and lead other members of a team

  • The ability to work with a diverse team, build strong relationships, and promote a positive work environment.

  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize daily work assignments and manage time wisely.

  • Ability to be professional, respectful, and approachable.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Salary Range

$18.27 - $27.47
