About the Opportunity

A Mechanical Manufacturing Intern will assist in the development and optimization of manufacturing processes at Argen. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in manufacturing technologies and processes while supporting the production of high-quality products.

In this role, the successful candidate will:

  • Provides support for Argen's manufacturing process development and documentation efforts, assisting in the creation and refinement of manufacturing procedures and protocols.
  • Participates in the installation, operation, and performance qualifications of products and equipment, contributing to verification and validation activities to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Engages in engineering manufacturing meetings to discuss ongoing projects, address manufacturing challenges, and coordinate project schedules and milestones.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally with teams across the organization to support engineering projects as required, fostering collaboration and teamwork.
  • Works closely with engineers and manufacturing specialists to support the successful execution of manufacturing initiatives and projects.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What does it take to be successful?

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, preferably SolidWorks, with coursework in CAD design highly desirable.
  • Strong technical aptitude and a keen interest in mechanical design and engineering principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to analyze and troubleshoot design issues effectively.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Enthusiasm for learning and a proactive attitude towards tackling new challenges and acquiring new skills.
  • Ability to learn technical concepts by reading work instructions and standard operating procedures and completing on-the-job training.
